Eunice
We now have a sponsor for Eunice to attend high school. Until now we have only supported kids in grade school, so Eunice is the first to continue on to the next level.
It is difficult to imagine how difficult it can be for a child in Kenya to go to school. The further he/she comes, the more they are in the minority. De families often don’t have the money to send a child to school en often other family members chip in to help, it still is difficult to make in (financially) possible.
And then studying. In the evening it is dark at around 6:30 PM and they often don’t have electricity. Sometimes there is a kerosene lamp, but that is relatively expensive – without mentioning the pollution and the health risk.
But Eunice is determined to make this work, and of course we wish her well in her new adventure.
