Walk for Matunda 2012

With a sunny day in September it couldn’t have been better! Not a cloud in the sky and then walking through the area called Maas en Waal (named for two rivers there). Coffee and cake were there on arrival and an extensive buffet at the end.

About seventy people went on the walk; most of them twelve kilometers, and at the end of the walk at the beautiful monumental house of the De Vrij family, there was information and pictures of the kids from Matunda. There were also paintings, sculptures, clothes, a new children’s book, and several other products for sale.

We would sincerely like to thank the De Vrij family, the volunteers and all the people that walked, helping to make this year’s walk a success! The buffet and many other preparations were the result of the enormous effort of Coby Burggraaf and Marianne Engelshove.
