Press release for the local newspapers in Oosterhout, The Netherlands:
Bram, age 6, helps poor kids in Africa
In a local park at the yearly Queen’s birthday rummage sale, the non-profit Matunda Orphans’ Community Center (www.matunda.us) had a stand to sell the things they had collected for a children’s center in Nairobi, Kenya.
At the end of the day, the six year old neighbor Bram de Graaf came to local board members with a bag of money. He was apparently so impressed with poor kids in Africa that don’t have enough to eat, often no parents, and no nice toys, that he sold his old toys at the rummage sale and gave the entire profit (€100!) to Matunda.
With a large smile he presented the money and was very interested in the pictures and stories of the children. The board of Matunda was so impressed that they wanted to spread the word on Bram’s generosity.
